Janet Gayford is a production coordinator who received credit for working on the first three first season episodes of Star Trek: Discovery, "The Vulcan Hello", "Battle at the Binary Stars", and "Context Is for Kings". J. Gayford and J. Gayford (mirror) were named after her.

Gayford has started her career as production secretary on the horror thriller Dead Ringers (1988, starring Genevieve Bujold) and the television science fiction series War of the Worlds (1988-1990, starring Richard Chaves) and worked as assistant production coordinator on the drama Camilla (1994) and as assistant production manager on the television drama Christmas in My Hometown (1996) and the television science fiction film Johnny 2.0 (1997, with John Neville).

Abrams), the television drama Doomstown (2006), the television drama Daniel's Daughter (2008, produced by David Till and executive produced by Gerald W.
