(written from a Production point of view)

Jean I. Lorrah (born November 1940) is a Star Trek writer.

She was born in Canton, Ohio, and is currently a professor of English at Murray State University in Murray, Kentucky. Among her non-Trek work, she is best known for her "Savage Empire" series.

In 1968, Lorrah, a Star Trek fan, submitted an unsolicited script titled "Kathi" to the producers of Star Trek: The Original Series, which co-producer Robert Justman read, but turned down. (These Are the Voyages: TOS Season Three, p. 12)
