Invasion fleet []
A large fleet of battle cruisers and Jem'Hadar fighters, totalling at least fifty Dominion ships, assembled in a nebula, located on the edge of Dominion space in the Gamma Quadrant, close to the Bajoran wormhole, in preparation of invading the Alpha Quadrant in mid-2373.
While attempting to ascertain the location of a transmission sent by Enabran Tain from deep within Dominion space, Worf and Elim Garak approached the border, aboard the runabout USS Rio Grande, where their sensors showed no sign of Jem'Hadar warships in the area. They opted to go deeper into Dominion space through the nebula, to both avoid detection, as Jem'Hadar sensors would be useless, and get light years closer to the source of the transmission.
As the runabout traveled deeper into the nebula, they were spied by Garak, who at first could not make out what he was seeing, with Worf adding, "whatever they are, they are coming straight at us." As they attempted to escape the ships, Garak noted that there were "four more Jem'Hadar ships in close pursuit, and at least two ahead of us on an intercept course. Just as Worf was able to transmit a distress call, they became caught in one of the ship's tractor beam, were boarded and captured.
After the fleet departed the nebula and approached the wormhole, they destroyed at least four listening posts along the way. In a last ditch effort, the crew of Deep Space 9 scrambled to prevent the invasion fleet from entering the Alpha Quadrant, but their attempts were sabotaged by a Dominion infiltrator, posing as Julian Bashir. (DS9: "In Purgatory's Shadow")
After the Dominion ships emerged from the wormhole, they ignored all hails from Deep Space 9, and briefly positioned themselves between the station and the wormhole. Their presense evoked several responses from the crew of DS9; Jadzia Dax, aboard the Defiant noted that "there sure are a lot of them," whereas Kira Nerys offered the response, "that'll just make it harder for us to miss." Meanwhile, aboard DS9, Captain Benjamin Sisko opined that "they're trying to intimidate us," which, according to Miles O'Brien, "It's working."
As the USS Defiant, Dukat's Bird-of-Prey, and two runabouts prepared to engage the fleet, the fleet turned away from the station and laid in a course for Cardassia – they were further joined by Dukat. When hailed by the Defiant, Kira told Dukat to "stop trying to be a hero, but was surpised to learn from Dukat that he wasn't attacking the Dominion fleet, but rather joining it, as Cardassia had officially joined the Dominion.
En route the fleet flushed out a large contingent of the Klingon fleet that had previously occupying Cardassian territory, effectively ending the Klingon-Cardassian War. Dukat further promised to eradicate the Maquis from the Federation-Cardassian border, and furthermore, "anyone [else] who stands in our way will be destroyed."
Shortly after their arrival to Cardassia, the Dominion plotted to destroy the Bajoran sun, as well as the Federation, Klingon, and Romulan fleets that had converged at Deep Space 9. After it was implied that Dukat was going to retake the station, the station's sensors detected warp signatures of the same Dominion ships, as well as a number of Cardassian ships, entering Bajoran space. Once it was believed they were in visual range, nothing appeared on screen. As warp signatures appeared to continue arriving from different bearings, the Dominion's true intentions were discovered, and their plot to destroy Bajor was thwarted, the revelation was finally made that "the Dominion's real fleet never left Cardassian space." (DS9: "By Inferno's Light")
Convoys through wormhole []
Five convoys over a period of five weeks arrived to the Alpha Quadrant through the Bajoran wormhole. After the fifth, it was decided that Starfleet would mine the entrance to prevent any further ships from arriving. (DS9: "Call to Arms")
Battle of Deep Space 9 fleet []
These battle cruisers participated in the Dominion's assault on and capture of Deep Space 9. (DS9: "Call to Arms")
Operation Return fleet []
During Starfleet's Operation Return, a large Dominion fleet, including several battle cruisers engaged the Federation fleet (later joined by forces from the Klingon Empire), during their attempt to retake Deep Space 9. One battle cruiser fired on and destroyed the USS Majestic. Another was destroyed when a damaged Klingon Bird-of-Prey collided with it. (DS9: "Favor the Bold", "Sacrifice of Angels")
Fleet in wormhole []
This fleet of twenty-eight hundred Dominion ships, lead by a large contingent of battle cruisers, was originally the sixth convoy to pass through the Bajoran wormhole from the Gamma Quadrant during the Dominion War. They were unable to pass through the wormhole, and successfully enter the Alpha Quadrant due to a minefield set between the mouth of the wormhole and Deep Space 9. Due to the Prophets intervention, following the destruction of the minefield, the entire fleet disappeared without a trace while still within it. (DS9: "Sacrifice of Angels")
Ships under construction at Monac []
Multiple battle cruisers were under construction at the Monac shipyard where they were later destroyed when a solar flare from the Monac sun consumed everything within a hundred million kilometers. (DS9: "Shadows and Symbols")
Second Battle of Chin'toka fleet []
These battle cruisers were present at the retaking of the Chin'toka system. They held back as the Breen used their energy dissipaters on the Federation Alliance assault fleet. (DS9: "The Changing Face of Evil")
Battle of Cardassia fleet []
These battle cruisers fought against the Federation Alliance in the Invasion of Cardassia.
They later fell back and formed a Dominion defense perimeter around Cardassia Prime after the Dominion retreat from the Battle of Cardassia with the Federation Alliance. (DS9: "What You Leave Behind")
