Engagement with the USS Odyssey []

Jem'Hadar fighters in attack formation

All ships in attack formation

These three attack ships, armed with phased polaron beams, were stationed near a planet visited by Commander Benjamin Sisko.

In 2370, they responded to the arrival of the USS Odyssey, USS Orinoco, and USS Mekong at the same planet's system, as they attempted to retrieve Sisko from his imprisonment by the Jem'Hadar. The three attack ships approached in an attack formation before they engaged the Federation task force. Armed with phased polaron beams, these attack ships initially targeted the Odyssey's port nacelle; easily penetrating the Galaxy-class starship's shields.

Also during the attack, these attack ships engaged the Mekong and Orinoco, which were slightly more maneuverable and thus avoided the brunt of the attack ships attack. Mid-battle one of the attack ships, which had just made several direct hits on the Odyssey's port nacelle, was teamed up on by both runabouts, and seemingly disabled, before itself firing on the Mekong, causing it to lose its targeting control panel, along with its sensors.

Preparing the ram the Odyssey

Once Sisko was rescued, the Odyssey's and the two runabouts, plus the recovered USS Rio Grande, attempted to fall back, however, one of the fighters made a direct run towards the Odyssey, colliding into its forward hull near deflector dish with the attack ship's remaining debris striking the Odyssey's starboard nacelle, destroying both ships.

After viewing the Jem'Hadar's extreme act, Sisko opined that "[t]hey're showing us how far they're willing to go." (DS9: "The Jem'Hadar")

According to the script, these were described as "three identical Jem'Hadar assault ships". Following their initial approach, no more than two of the ships were even seen together at one time.
According to the script, the attack ship engaged by the two runabouts was said to be "crippled", despite still engaging the Mekong.
It is likely that Talak'talan's attack ship was one of these three vessels, as it was stationed at the same planet.

Near encounter with the USS Defiant []

Jem'Hadar attack ships scanning

Scanning space

These two attack ships were traveling through Dominion space at warp 5 when they detected a subspace variance. Unbeknownst to them at the time, the variance was actually the USS Defiant traveling at warp 7 under cloak. They scanned the area with antiproton beams but were unable to locate the anomaly they initially detected and resumed their course on their original heading. (DS9: "The Search, Part I")

First engagement with the USS Defiant []

These three attack ships discovered the USS Defiant under cloak near the Callinon system. They opened fire on the ship and would eventually overwhelm the Federation starship, even after having one of their own ships destroyed by it, before boarding it and taking the crew captive. (DS9: "The Search, Part I")

Battle of the Omarion Nebula []

These one hundred fifty fighters ambushed the combined Cardassian/Romulan fleet that attempted to destroy the Founders' homeworld in the Omarion Nebula. In the ensuing battle, these warships would destroy the 20 invading enemy starships, along with the USS Mekong. A number of these ships were also destroyed in battle by the USS Defiant. (DS9: "The Die is Cast")

Encounter at a class J gas giant []

Class J gas giant

Pursing a Karemma ship

These two warships were dispatched to punish the Karemma for meeting with the Federation near a Class J gas giant in the Gamma Quadrant. Upon their arrival at the planet, the ships powered their weapons systems and targeted the Karemma ship. Minister Hanok of the Karemma Commerce Ministry, who was conducting negotiations with Quark on board the USS Defiant, opted to give himself up to the Jem'Hadar and accept full responsibility in hopes that they might spare his ship, but he was dissuaded by Captain Benjamin Sisko who attempted to contact the warships, and request that they stand down… (DS9: "Starship Down")

Escort to Founders' new homeworld []

Jem'Hadar fighters surround the Defiant

Surround the Defiant

This small fleet of ships responded to the distress call sent out by the USS Defiant as it sought out the Founders to treat the ill Odo. After transporting the Female Changeling aboard from one of these ships, they further escorted the Defiant to the Founders' homeworld. (DS9: "Broken Link")

Invasion fleet []

Jem'Hadar fleet encountered in nebula

A large fleet encountered by runabout

A large fleet of fighters and Jem'Hadar battle cruisers, totalling at least fifty Dominion ships, assembled in a nebula, located on the edge of Dominion space in the Gamma Quadrant, close to the Bajoran wormhole, in preparation of invading the Alpha Quadrant in mid-2373.

While attempting to ascertain the location of a transmission sent by Enabran Tain from deep within Dominion space, Worf and Elim Garak took the runabout USS Rubicon approached the border, where their sensors showed no sign of Jem'Hadar warships in the area. They opted to go deeper into Dominion space through the nebula, to both avoid detection, as Jem'Hadar sensors would be useless, and get light years closer to the source of the transmission.

As the runabout traveled deeper into the nebula, they were spied by Garak, who at first could not make out what he was seeing, with Worf adding, "whatever they are, they are coming straight at us."

As they attempted to escape the ships, Garak noted that there were "four more Jem'Hadar ships in close pursuit, and at least two ahead of us on an intercept course. Just as Worf was able to transmit a distress call, they became caught in one of the ship's tractor beam, were boarded and captured.

After the fleet departed the nebula and approached the wormhole, they destroyed at least four listening posts along the way. In a last ditch effort, the crew of Deep Space 9 scrambled to prevent the invasion fleet from entering the Alpha Quadrant, but their attempts were sabotaged by a Dominion infiltrator, posing as Julian Bashir. (DS9: "In Purgatory's Shadow")

After the Dominion ships emerged from the wormhole, they ignored all hails from Deep Space 9, and briefly positioned themselves between the station and the wormhole. Their presense evoked several responses from the crew of DS9; Jadzia Dax, aboard the Defiant noted that "there sure are a lot of them," whereas Kira Nerys offered the response, "that'll just make it harder for us to miss." Meanwhile, aboard DS9, Captain Benjamin Sisko opined that "they're trying to intimidate us," which, according to Miles O'Brien, "It's working."

As the USS Defiant, Dukat's Bird-of-Prey, and two runabouts prepared to engage the fleet, the fleet turned away from the station and laid in a course for Cardassia – they were further joined by Dukat. When hailed by the Defiant, Kira told Dukat to "stop trying to be a hero, but was surpised to learn from Dukat that he wasn't attacking the Dominion fleet, but rather joining it, as Cardassia had officially joined the Dominion.

Dukat's Bird-of-Prey joins Dominion fleet

Fleet joined by Dukat

En route the fleet flushed out a large contingent of the Klingon fleet that had previously occupying Cardassian territory, effectively ending the Klingon-Cardassian War. Dukat further promised to eradicate the Maquis from the Federation-Cardassian border, and furthermore, "anyone [else] who stands in our way will be destroyed."

Shortly after their arrival to Cardassia, the Dominion plotted to destroy the Bajoran sun, as well as the Federation, Klingon, and Romulan fleets that had converged at Deep Space 9. After it was implied that Dukat was going to retake the station, the station's sensors detected warp signatures of the same Dominion ships, as well as a number of Cardassian ships, entering Bajoran space. Once it was believed they were in visual range, nothing appeared on screen. As warp signatures appeared to continue arriving from different bearings, the Dominion's true intentions were discovered, and their plot to destroy Bajor was thwarted, the revelation was finally made that "the Dominion's real fleet never left Cardassian space." (DS9: "By Inferno's Light")

Scouting mission in enemy space []

Jem'Hadar patrol ship

A patrol ship in 2373

This solitary patrol ship was on a reconnaissance mission, conducting active polaron scans of the sector of the Alpha Quadrant, in 2373 when it was unknowingly stalked by the IKS Rotarran. The Rotarran commander, General Martok, declined to engage the inferior ship, much to the disappointment of the crew. (DS9: "Soldiers of the Empire")

Ships sweeping Badlands []

Jem'Hadar fighters in Badlands

Two warships

These two warships encountered Captain Benjamin Sisko and Michael Eddington aboard a Federation runabout, shortly after entering the Badlands in 2373. They were located approximately 1 AU away, at which time they had already detected the runabout.

Eddington initially lost the warships after he plotted a spiral course around a plasma filament, to dissipate the runabout's warp signature. The tactic worked briefly, before the Jem'Hadar relocated the runabout, much to Eddington's surprise.

Eddington's Plan B required realigning the emitter in the runabout's impulse flow regulators, which allowed impulse exhaust to escape. The exhaust in turn was detonated in the surrounding plasma field, with the subsequent shock wave wiping the runabout's ion wake and destroying the warships. (DS9: "Blaze of Glory")

Convoys []

Dominion convoy emerges from wormhole

Dominion convoy arrives in the Alpha Quadrant

Five convoys over a period of five weeks arrived to the Alpha Quadrant through the Bajoran wormhole. After the fifth, it was decided that Starfleet would mine the entrance to prevent any further ships from arriving. (DS9: "Call to Arms")

Second Battle of Deep Space 9 []

These attack ships were incorporated in the massive Dominion/Cardassian fleet that encroached on and attacked Deep Space 9 in late 2373.

Prior to commencing fire, Gul Dukat ordered Attack Wings One through Five to go after the USS Defiant to attempt to mine the Bajoran wormhole. The remaining attack wings were to focus on attacking the station.

As the first attack wing approached by the Defiant they were destroyed by a volley of photon torpedoes launched from DS9. (DS9: "Call to Arms")

Stationed at Terok Nor []

These fighters were stationed at the Cardassian held Terok Nor. (DS9: "A Time to Stand", "Rocks and Shoals", "Sons and Daughters", "Behind the Lines", "Favor the Bold", "Sacrifice of Angels")

Pursuit of the Centaur []

Jem'Hadar fighters pursue the Centaur

Three ships flying past Sisko's attack ship

These three ships arrived as the attack ship, commanded by Captain Benjamin Sisko, was engaged with the USS Centaur on the Dominion of the Federation-Cardassian border; their arrival prompted the Centaur's retreat from the engagement. These ships flew by Sisko's attack ship, unacknowledged, in their pursuit of the Centaur, with Sisko's crew hoping he'll be able to outrun the pursuing ships. (DS9: "A Time to Stand")

Ketracel-white facility resupply ship []

Jem'Hadar fighter at ketracel-white facility

At a Ketracel-white facility

This starship visited a ketracel-white facility in early 2374 to replenish supplies of ketracel-white. The ship transmitted a message to the asteroid storage facility, requesting to be resupplied with ketracel-white. The facilty lowered its security net and the ship approached before it beamed down one hundred ten empty white canisters and was restocked with one hundred ten full ones. The ship then left orbit, with the entire exchange taking 92.3 seconds. The ship was then followed by Sisko's attack ship, which proceeded to destroy the facility minutes later. (DS9: "A Time to Stand")

Encounter near a dark nebula []

Jem'Hadar fighters approach dark nebula

Approaching a dark matter nebula

These two fighters engaged the commandeered Dominion ship shortly after its involvement in the ketracel-white facility in Dominion-held Cardassian space. They pursued the attack ship to the edge of an uncharted dark matter nebula where they broke off pursuit after causing further damage to Sisko's ship, including the loss of helm control, causing it to crash on a nearby planet. (DS9: "Rocks and Shoals")

Convoy attack ships []

These three attack ships engaged the Klingon convoy of Par'tok-type cargo vessels that were being escorted by the IKS Rotarran.

During the engagement, the first attack ship's was quickly destroyed by the Rotarran, while the second ship's aft shields had dropped to twenty percent effective, and its starboard nacelle was losing anti-protons.

IKS Rotarran fires on third Jem'Hadar attack ship

Third ship about to be destroyed

It too was eventually destroyed by the Rotarran during direct weapons' fire to the nacelle.

The third ship, which pursued the Rotarran during its attack on the second ship, was outmaneuvered after the Bird-of-Prey dropped impulse power to one-third allowing the attack ship to pass by. As it did so, the Rotarran pitched towards the ship that was now in front of it, destroyed it in a volley of disruptor fire. (DS9: "Sons and Daughters")

Federation decoy encounter[]

These two Dominion ships discovered the USS Defiant, alone in space, venting plasma, seemingly disabled, and transmitting a distress call. The Defiant's shields were at thirty percent, and its weapons array was offline, when the Dominion ships made a strafing run at the Defiant, causing its shields to drop another ten percent, when the IKS Rotarran decloaked from behind and immediately destroyed the trailing ship. The Defiant restored shields, main phasers, and went to full impulse, quickly firing on the second ship, which it also quickly destroyed. After it was confirmed that there were no other Dominion ships in range, Commander Worf of the Rotarran commended Captain Jadzia Dax on being "a very effective decoy," while Dax, in response, teased "How about next time we switch roles? That way I can rescue you." (DS9: "Favor the Bold")

Operation: Return []

These fighters were part of a large Dominion fleet consisting of 1254 ships of various Cardassian and Jem'Hadar designs. They faced an incoming fleet of Federation starships, which were outnumbered two to one by this Dominion fleet, lead by the USS Defiant, which had assumed attack formation Delta-2. (DS9: "Favor the Bold", "Sacrifice of Angels")

According to the script for "Favor the Bold", it was described as "[t]he biggest enemy fleet we've ever seen is waiting to meet us. A solid wall of ships. It's an awesome sight." The script for "Sacrifice of Angels" reiterated that "the Dominion fleet, which stretches so far and wide that it seems capable of engulfing the Federation fleet."

Attack on the Cortez []

This squadron of fighters attacked and destroyed the USS Cortez while it patrolled near the Cardassian border. (DS9: "Far Beyond the Stars")

These squadron were only mentioned in dialogue.

Ships that attacked Sloan's son's transport []

According to Odo's research, and as recounted by Captain Benjamin Sisko, these three Dominion attack ships from a patrol were discovered in place of the supposed Klingon Bird-of-Prey that was encountered by the transport's convoy dropped out of warp. The ship, which was piloted by Luther Sloan's son, was destroyed. Sloan believed that Julian Bashir was responsible for tipping the Dominion off on the convoy and was indirectly responsible for its destruction. (DS9: "Inquisition")

These ships were only mentioned in dialogue.
Considering the nature of Sloan, this story may have very well been false.

Attack on Starbase 257 []

Jem'Hadar fighters from Shenandoah cockpit

Fighters approaching the Shenandoah

This wing of at least six fighters was encountered by the USS Shenandoah shortly after it departed Starbase 257. Prior to their immediate encounter, these ships were jamming the runabout's long range sensors, and were on course for the starbase.

One of the ships broke off to chase the escaping Shenandoah, chasing it deep into Dominon-held space, continuing to also jam the ship's com system. The fighter quickly gained on the runabout, and once within range of enemy weapons, the runabout was forced to fight the attacking ship, in an attempt to use the runabout's edge in maneuverability over the fighter.

Just as the runabout was about to be destroyed, the USS Valiant arrived to the battle and engaged the fighter. After a couple go rounds, the fighter was finally destroyed by the Valiant after it lost its starboard nacelle, after being hit by a full spread of quantum torpedoes. (DS9: "Valiant")

According to the script there were only to be four Jem'Hadar fighters on approach, rather than six. [1]
The flyby shot of this ship traveling at warp was stock footage of Sisko's attack ship from "A Time to Stand".

First Battle of Chin'toka []

These five squadrons of attack ships were, at the end of 2374, the entire Dominion fleet assigned to protect the Chin'toka system. This fact was revealed by Captain Sisko to General Martok, who praised the captain for finding the weak spot they've been looking for in, once again, turning the tide of the war.

Upon the arrival of Federation Alliance's fleet to the Chin'toka system, Jem'Hadar fighters approached from bearing 059 mark 031. Despite being heavily outnumbered by the massive incoming fleet, these ship's approached, and were engaged by Martok's attack wing of Birds-of-Prey and attack cruisers. Only firing few shots, these fighters began veering into the incoming Klingon ships, inflicting considerable damage on the Klingons – more than conventional weapons alone could do – managing to cripple or destroy fifteen of Martok's ships, in effort to buy time for the Cardassian orbital weapon platforms to become operational. (DS9: "Tears of the Prophets")

Stationed at Monac shipyard []

Several fighters were dock or under construction at the Monac shipyards in early 2375.

Three ships stationed there approached the IKS Rotarran, from bearing 005 mark 190, after it had decloaked and attempted to ignite the Monac sun's surface, during an attempt to destroy the Dominion shipyard.

Though the Rotarran initially failed, it was pursued by these three ships as it attempted to once again trigger a solar flare. As they worked under fire, Rotarran commander, General Martok, spoke of their attack being part of the "glorious battle" he had promised Worf. After the Rotarran successfully ignited the Monac sun, it sped away at full impulse, as the fireball behind it engulfed these three pursuing ships, before it fully engulfed the shipyard, and all the ships there within. (DS9: "Shadows and Symbols")

First runabout pursuit vessel []

Jem'Hadar fighter destroyed by the Rio Grande

Destroyed by the Rio Grande

This attack ship pursued the runabout Rio Grande, flown by Odo, as he attempted to transport the defective defector Weyoun 6 back to Deep Space 9. It was destroyed, much to the surprise of Damar and Weyoun 7, thanks to a bit of intelligence sharing thanks to Weyoun 6. (DS9: "Treachery, Faith and the Great River")

Olmerak system ships []

These four attack ships pursued the runabout Rio Grande, flown by Odo, as he attempted to transport the defective defector Weyoun 6 back to Deep Space 9. They pursued the runabout into an asteroid belt. (DS9: "Treachery, Faith and the Great River")

Pursuit from Trelka V []

Pursuing attack ships

Ten attack ships pursued the four surviving Klingon Birds-of-Prey that had participated in General Martok's cavalry raid on Trelka V in 2375. They were prevented from intercepting Klingon ships, when Kor and six volunteers sacrificed themselves by using the IKS Ning'tao engage the Jem'Hadar ships, thus delaying them long enough for the other ships to reach Starfleet reinforcements. (DS9: "Once More Unto the Breach")

Ships near AR-558 []

Jem'Hadar fighter destroyed on-screen

Fighter destroyed near AR-558

This initial ship was part of the Dominion's continued attempt to retake the Chin'toka system. It was destroyed by the USS Defiant near AR-558. The ship exploded just as Lieutenant Commander Worf and Quark entered the bridge, where they overheard Captain Sisko instruct Chief O'Brien to "keep an eye out for more Jem'Hadar ships."

After beaming down to AR-558, the Defiant, under the command of Worf, came under attack by two more Jem'Hadar ships, which were at the planet dropping off troops of their own. Worf sent warning to the surface that they needed to break orbit, but were sent on their way by Captain Sisko from the planet's surface, ordering Worf to take evasive action. (DS9: "The Siege of AR-558")

The first "Jem'Hadar ship" was identified in the script notes as a "Jem'Hadar fighter". During the unseen battle, it was further noted in the script notes that the Defiant suffered a hit from a "phaser blast" from said ship.
Footage of the exploding ship was reused from "Valiant".
The later "Jem'Hadar ships" were unseen, but for the sake of simplicity are assumed here to be the same type, given they shared the same generic designation as the first ship. Furthermore, the script also described the attack by these vessels against the Defiant to also consist of "phaser blasts".

Attack on the Defiant []

These half dozen attack ships engaged the USS Defiant in mid-2375, while the Defiant was helmed Lieutenant Hector Ilario. The mission, as described by Doctor Julian Bashir, was explained with regards to Ilario, as "[t]his inspired cherub masterfully piloted the Defiant into battle against a half dozen Jem'Hadar attack ships, and once all the smoke had cleared, only one ship remained intact, and that, ladies and gentlemen, was the USS Defiant." (DS9: "Field of Fire")

These attack ships were only mentioned in dialogue.

Patrol near Goralis system []

Jem'Hadar fighters destroy the Gander over Goralis

Fighters over Goralis

These two fighters discovered and pursued the USS Gander, piloted by Worf and Ezri Dax, as it was returning to Deep Space 9 from the Badlands. Because the runabout could not outrun the fighters, Worf dropped it out of warp in the Goralis system. The fighters continued to fire on the runabout, damaging its shields, and as Worf attempted to take the ship into the atmosphere, they knocked out its starboard thrusters, causing the ship to burn up in the atmosphere, with Worf and Ezri beaming to Goralis III's surface. (DS9: "Penumbra")

Ship destroyed by Cardassian Liberation Front []

This fighter was targeted in a bombing by the Cardassian Liberation Front in late 2375. The location of the explosion was criticized to Rusot by Colonel Kira Nerys, who while reviewing footage of the explosion, indicated that the explosion began in the intercooler matrix, rather that the ship's secondary plasma relay. Rusot argued that where the bomb was placed made no difference as the mission was a success and the ship was destroyed, while Elim Garak pointed out that the ship's intercooler was an "obvious choice for sabotage," and that normally, Jem'Hadar security checks could've found the bomb and disarmed it before the ship left orbit. Damar defended Rusot, but Kira nevertheless "demoted" Rusot's team to routine reconnaissance for failing to follow order. (DS9: "Tacking Into the Wind")

Regarding this vessel, the script described the opening scene as "a JEM'HADAR FIGHTER is moving at impulse… then suddenly EXPLODES. The explosion expands for a beat… then FREEZES, and then REVERSES. The recording FREEZES again at a point where the ship is still mostly intact, but the first SPARK of an explosion can be seen."

Kelvas facility ship []

Ships docked at repair facility

This ship, along with Luaran's attack ship, we're both docked at the Kelvas facility to be retrofitted with the new Breen energy dissipater weapon. (DS9: "Tacking Into the Wind")

Battle of Cardassia []

This fighter was the first ship destroyed by the USS Defiant in the invasion of Cardassia.

A second fighter chased the Defiant during the Battle of Cardassia, but was destroyed by a Cardassian warship, after it switched sides agaist the Dominion. (DS9: "What You Leave Behind")
