During a routine survey of the Jonisian Nebula, when a sentient non-corporeal lifeform speculated to be a Boltzmann brain (later named Debra) forced the crew to take on the identities of characters from The Kingdom of Elysian, Mitchell believed she was a member of the Crimson Guard. Jenna Mitchell was portrayed by Rong Fu.
Despite being called "lieutenant" in the "Strange New Worlds", she wore lieutenant commander stripes on her uniform. This was likely a costuming error.
