Background information[]

This character was only mentioned in writing.

Fleck was named after first assistant director Jerry Fleck.

Retcon: In 2328, Fleck boarded the SS Manila at Theta Gluckstern III bound to Deep Space 7. This information is listed in a passenger manifest archived in the commercial transport database and reviewed by Lieutenant Commander Data in 2370. (TNG: "Inheritance")

This character might be the same as the Jerry Fleck mentioned in Joe Carey's Starfleet Academy degree. [2]

According to the text commentary for "These Are the Voyages..." by Michael and Denise Okuda, there was a Lieutenant Commander Jerry Fleck aboard the USS Enterprise-D in 2370, and he was assigned living quarters across the hall from Counselor Deanna Troi. The character's name was placed on the door across the hall from Troi's quarters on the rebuilt Enterprise sets. However the label was never visible on screen in the episode.
