Jerry B. (Brian) Oltion (born 22 September 1957; age 67) is the author of many novels based on Star Trek: The Original Series.

Oltion was born in Sheridon, Wyoming, and currently lives in Eugene, Oregon. He has written tie-ins to Star Wars as well as Isaac Asimov's Robot City: Robots and Aliens and Cheap Hyperdrive. He is the husband of Kathy Oltion. Along with his wife, he is a member of the Wordos writing group, which specializes in science fiction.

He is a keen amateur astronomer, and invented the trackball telescope, which he put the blueprints of into the public domain.
