Ensign Jet Manhaver was a male Human Starfleet operations division officer who lived during the 24th century. During the early 2380s he served on the USS Cerritos under Captain Carol Freeman.
He had previously dated Lieutenant Barbara Brinson. Ensign Beckett Mariner referred to him as "the second-coolest person on the Cerritos." (LD: "Cupid's Errant Arrow")
In 2380, he was in the ship's bar chatting with Sleepy Merp while Boimler was nearby, telling of Mariner and his encounter with the Ferengi whom she allegedly mistook for a Bolian. (LD: "Envoys")
Later that year, when the Cerritos was invaded by a Gelrakian boarding party, he charged two of the intruders near the warp core in engineering before throwing them against the bulkhead. (LD: "Temporal Edict")
He was also working in engineering when D'Vana Tendi followed Lieutenant O'Connor around attempting to use methods from various cultures to assist in his spiritual ascension. (LD: "Moist Vessel")
In early 2381, he was reassigned to beta shift, and shortly thereafter, joined the away team that helped catalogue Kerner Hauze's collection.
Later he admitted that he sometimes appeared to wear the pips of a lieutenant, but it was actually just a stray kernel of corn. (LD: "Kayshon, His Eyes Open")
This was apparently the case his previous speaking appearance in "Cupid's Errant Arrow".
He later participated in the training drills presented by Shari yn Yem in 2381. (LD: "I, Excretus")
He was in a counseling session with Dr. Migleemo when Captain Freeman issued a shipwide order for everyone to pitch in and help prepare the Cerritos for a rescue mission of the USS Archimedes. (LD: "First First Contact")
Manhaver was one of the interviewees on Captain Freeman's approved list of officers chosen to speak with FNN reporter Victoria Nuze in the ship's renamed commander's lounge. He later joined the ship's away team to Ornara during the Cerritos' first Swing By mission, visiting the native Ornarans. (LD: "Trusted Sources")
