Jimmy Cole was the name of a character in the Dixon Hill series from the novel The Pallid Son.
He and his partner, Cassiopeia Cole, were a notorious crime duo in San Francisco known for stealing from the rich and giving to the poor, like Robin Hood. They were enemies of the rich and influential members of the secretive The Titan Club. Because of their ongoing conflict with the club, they were considered possible suspects in the murders of the club's members. (PIC: "Watcher")
