Joe Orlando (4 April 192723 December 1998; age 71) was an Italian born comic book creator, editor, and artist. He was the vice president of DC Comics for a number of years and the associate publisher of Mad Magazine.

Shortly after his birth, his family moved to New York City where Orlando attended the High School of Industrial Art before being drafted into the Army to serve as a military policeman in Europe. By 1957, he was contributing to Mad Magazine after a number of years working for various comic companies, and then joined DC Comics in 1966 quickly becoming an editor under Carmine Infantino. During his career, he contributed to a wide variety of comics, including the "Tales of the Black Freighter" comic within the Watchmen series

His one Star Trek credit was cover art on DC's volume 1 issue #8 "Blood Fever" with Tom Sutton.
