Joel Shultz (born 20 April 1950; age 74) is a former actor who played a Klingon crewman in Star Trek: The Motion Picture. He was credited as Joel Schultz in the end credits of the film. Shultz worked as an actor within the Screen Extras Guild between 1977 and 1991.

Since 1995, Shultz owns and operates the surf school "Surf The Bu" in Malibu, California. [1] He has trained several celebrities such as Pierce Brosnan, Tia Carrere, and Dustin Hoffman. He was also featured as professional surfer in television series such as China Beach, The Rockford Files, California Dreaming, and Zuma Beach, Big Wednesday (1978, with Stephen Mendillo and Benjie Bancroft), Rich and Famous (1981), and The Devil and Max Devlin (1981, with Reggie Nalder, Julie Parrish, and Gary Morgan).
