John Ales (born 3 January 1969; age 56) is an American actor who portrayed Bruce Maddox in the Star Trek: Picard first season episode "Stardust City Rag". He replaced actor Brian Brophy who had portrayed Maddox thirty-one years earlier in the Star Trek: The Next Generation episode "The Measure Of A Man".
Ales has also guest-starred in Major Crimes (2013, with Jonathan Del Arco) in the episode "Final Cut", directed by Roxann Dawson.
