John Ciardi was a male Human of 20th century Earth. He translated Dante's Inferno from Italian to English. A copy of his translation was in Khan Noonien Singh's library on Ceti Alpha V. His name was seen on the spine of the book. (Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan)
