John Garrett (4 July 1953–8 July 2016; age 63) is an actor and dancer who appeared as a Solari lieutenant in the Star Trek: The Next Generation second season episode "Loud As A Whisper". Footage from this episode was later reused in the episode "Shades of Gray".
Garrett had previously appeared as a dancer on the two Grease films – Grease as a character named Bubba, and Grease 2 as Boy Greaser (With Christopher McDonald, Pamela Segall, Michael DiMente, Freddie Hice, and Bill Baker) as well as Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (1978). He also had a supporting role in The Star Chamber (1983, co-starring Robert Costanzo, Michael Ensign, Robin Gammell, Larry A. Hankin, James B. Sikking. In addition, he made guest appearances on such television shows as Police Woman (in an episode with Lance LeGault and Kenneth Mars) and Quincy, M.E. (starring Robert Ito and Garry Walberg), on which he appeared in two episodes (one with Jane Wyatt, another with Darleen Carr), both written by Jeri Taylor. He also worked with Byron Morrow twice: first in an episode of Men into Space and then in an episode of Highway to Heaven.
Garrett died on the 8th of July, 2016, only four days after his 63rd birthday.
