John Garrett (4 July 1953 – 8 July 2016; age 63) is an actor and dancer who appeared as a Solari lieutenant in the Star Trek: The Next Generation second season episode "Loud As A Whisper" in 1988. Footage from this episode was later reused in the episode "Shades of Gray".
Garrett had previously appeared as a dancer on the two Grease films as well as in Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. He also had a supporting role in Peter Hyams' 1983 action-thriller The Star Chamber, co-starring Robert Costanzo, Michael Ensign, Robin Gammell, Larry Hankin, James B. Sikking. In addition, he has made guest appearances on such television shows as Police Woman (in an episode with Lance LeGault and Kenneth Mars) and Quincy, M.E. (starring Robert Ito and Garry Walberg), on which he appeared in two episodes (one with Jane Wyatt, another with Darleen Carr), both written by Jeri Taylor. He also worked with Byron Morrow twice: first in an episode of Men into Space and then in an episode of Highway to Heaven.
Garrett died on the 8th of July, 2016, only four days after his 63rd birthday.
