John Jackson Miller (born 12 January 1968; age 51) is an American author who is best known for his work on the Star Wars line of comics and novels.

He began writing for the Dark Horse Comics Star Wars line in 2005, eventually publishing a large number of stories in both comic and novel form.

In 2007, Miller pitched a story for the Star Trek: Starfleet Corps of Engineers series. The pitch was accepted (Miller's first prose fiction sale), but the series was cancelled before his story was published. He later used one of the concepts from the story in a bonus novella in a Star Wars collection, Lost Tribe of the Sith. [1]

The Star Trek: Titan eBook Absent Enemies was his first published Star Trek work in February 2014. 2015 saw his first full-length novel, Takedown. His followup was the 2016 trilogy, Star Trek: Prey. His latest release is the Discovery tie-in novel The Enterprise War which was released on July 30, 2019.
