John Megna (9 November 1952 – 5 September 1995; age 42) was an actor who played a little boy in the Star Trek: The Original Series first season episode "Miri". He filmed his scenes on Monday 29 August 1966 and Tuesday 30 August 1966 at Desilu Stage 10.
Megna was a well-known child actor, best known for his role of Dill in To Kill a Mockingbird (1962, with Brock Peters, William Windom, Frank Overton, Paul Fix, Richard Hale, Walter Bacon, Noble Chissell, Eddie Smith, Arthur Tovey, and Max Wagner). He was the half-brother of singer and actress Connie Stevens.
As an adult, his roles became sporadic, but he did play the young Hyman Roth in a brief, deleted scene in The Godfather Part II (1974, with Marianna Hill, Richard Matheson, and Arthur Tovey). He also had a role in the Hal Needham's The Cannonball Run (1981, with Adrienne Barbeau, John Fiedler, and Allan Graf).
He later turned to stage directing. He died in 1995 of complications due to AIDS.
