Jon Macht (born 21 March 1960; age 64) is a visual effects artist who worked as post production vendor for Paramount Pictures on I AM ERROR, I AM ERROR, I AM ERROR and I AM ERROR. He is the cousin of Deep Space Nine guest actor Stephen Macht.

Born in Hagerstown, Maryland, USA, Macht worked as Agent's assistant on the television series Saturday Night Live and Picket Fences. His television work as post production vendor includes John and Leeza, Entertainment Tonight, Rescue 911, American Bounty Hunter, Big Brother, Stuntmasters, Babylon 5, The X-Files, Will & Grace, In Living Color, Criminal Minds, Fear Factor, Nash Bridges, In the Heat of the Night, CSI: Miami, The Amazing Race, Hard Copy, three years on The Grammy Awards, ten years on The Academy Awards, five years on The Emmy Awards, Melrose Place, Beverly Hills 90210, Ally McBeal, Boston Public, The Practice, Dancing with the Stars, and American Idol.

His film work as visual effects editor includes the drama Stand by Me (1986, starring Wil Wheaton), the animated adventure An American Tail (1986), the comic adaptation Masters of the Universe (1987, with Frank Langella, Meg Foster, Robert Duncan McNeill, Christina Pickles, and Anthony DeLongis), the action sequel Rambo III (1988), the drama Distant Thunder (1988), the action comedy Kindergarten Cop (1990), the thriller True Lies (1994), the fantasy comedy The Mask (1994), the crime drama L.A. Confidential (1997), the drama Meet Joe Black (1998), and the comedy Bruce Almighty (2003).

Beside working as freelance sports reporter for ABC, CBS, NBC, and ESPN, Macht focused on screenwriting and directing. In 2012 he worked as second unit director on the thriller Teenage Bank Heist and worked as screenwriter for The Knight Company, Lopevision, Inc. and Shadowland.
