Joseph Mullendore (21 October 1914 – 19 June 1990; age 75) was a prolific composer of television scores. He was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and died in Pasadena, California.
He composed and conducted music scores for a number of television productions and motion pictures, including The Adventures of Champion, Dick Powell Presents, Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea, The Big Valley, and Lost in Space (starring Bill Mumy).
Under the name of "Mullendore," he composed and conducted the bulk of the music to the Star Trek: The Original Series first season episode "The Conscience of the King". Portions of the score were subsequently used in "Court Martial" and "Tomorrow is Yesterday", among other first season episodes.
