Juan Carlos Fernandez (also credited as Juan Fernandez and J.C. Fernandez) worked as an assistant to the producers on the first season of Star Trek: Enterprise. With the start of the second season he became the pre-production coordinator and remained as such until the last episode. He appeared among the series contributors in the last scene of "These Are the Voyages..." as a civilian ceremony attendee but received no credit for this appearance.
After Enterprise, he has worked as a script coordinator for television series such as Threshold (2005-2006, starring Brent Spiner and produced by Brannon Braga, David Livingston, Michael Sussman, and André Bormanis), Eureka (2006, starring Salli Elise Richardson), and Cold Case (2006-2008).
Since 2005, he has been committed to the AIDS/Lifecycle organization, biking for seven days from San Francisco to Los Angeles in June. His donors have helped him personally raise over US$25,000 over three years. In 2007, he fulfilled his promise to shave his head if he raised over US$10,000. He signed up for the event again in 2008.
