Juan Ortiz (born 6 March 1963; age 61) is an artist and illustrator who has worked for Disney and Warner Bros. since 1985. He has produced covers for Looney Tunes and Tiny Toons magazines, and also works for DC Comics doing penciling and inking.

Ortiz publishes his own comic book series, Silver Comics, for which he has created his own universe of superhero characters, as well as a macabre/detective pulp called The Skull Army.

More recently, his talents have been tapped for Star Trek work beginning with the 2014 Star Trek Engagement Calendar. That led to an art book release of movie-style posters for all eighty episodes of Star Trek: The Original Series, including "The Cage", titled Star Trek: The Art of Juan Ortiz. Most recently, he provided the main cover art for IDW Publishing's Star Trek: Harlan Ellison's The City on the Edge of Forever comic book series. As of 2015, Ortiz is working on a series of retro posters featuring every episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation. [1] In 2019, a selection of his retro posters' artwork were collaged together for Cobble Hill jigsaw puzzles for Star Trek: The Next Generation and Star Trek: Classic Episodes.

Ortiz also drew the Star Trek Beyond subscribers' cover for Empire magazine. [2]
