Julie Benson (born 24 August 1977; age 46) is a writer and producer who worked as staff writer on the first season of Star Trek: Prodigy, along with her sister and writing partner, Shawna Benson. Previously, she wrote on the sci-fi drama series The 100 and various titles for DC Comics.

In July 2019, executive producers Kevin Hageman and Dan Hageman announced the full writers' room for the Nickelodeon animated project. [1] Among those revealed to be writing the series were Trollhunters writer-producers Aaron Waltke and Chad Quandt, Black Sails writer Lisa Boyd, Shades of Blue writer Nikhil Jayaram, Erin McNamara, Keith Sweet, and Diandra Pendleton-Thompson.
