Karen Manthey is an Emmy Award-winning set decorator who worked on Star Trek under production designer Scott Chambliss. [1]
She previously worked with Chambliss as set decorator on Krippendorf's Tribe (1998, featuring Stephen Root and David Ogden Stiers) and Alias, which was created by Star Trek director and producer J.J. Abrams. Manthey and Chambliss shared an Emmy Award and two Emmy additional nominations for their work on Alias. Manthey and Chambliss also worked together on Paramount Pictures' Mission: Impossible III (2006), which was also directed by J.J. Abrams.
Manthey's earlier works include Female Perversions (1996, starring Clancy Brown) and The Maker (1997, featuring Jeff Kober, Lawrence Pressman and Marc Worden) and Horse Sense (1999, featuring Freda Foh Shen and Holmes R. Osborne) and An American Daughter (2000, featuring Stanley Kamel).
