Karen Manthey is an Emmy Award-winning set decorator who worked on 2009's Star Trek under production designer Scott Chambliss. [1]

She previously worked with Chambliss as set decorator on the 1998 film Krippendorf's Tribe (which featured Stephen Root and David Ogden Stiers) and on the ABC television series Alias, which was created by Star Trek director and producer J.J. Abrams. Manthey and Chambliss shared an Emmy Award and two Emmy additional nominations for their work on Alias. More recently, Manthey and Chambliss worked together on the 2006 Paramount Pictures release Mission: Impossible III, which was also directed by J.J. Abrams.

Manthey's earlier works include the films Female Perversions (1996, starring Clancy Brown) and The Maker (1997, featuring Jeff Kober, Lawrence Pressman and Marc Worden) and the made-for-TV movies Horse Sense (featuring Freda Foh Shen and Holmes Osborne) and An American Daughter (2000, featuring Stanley Kamel).
