Traditional Kelpien tea with accompanying salt
Kelpien tea or salt tea was a Kelpien beverage from Kaminar. It was traditionally served alongside salt, which was added to the tea just before it was drunk. The tea's distinctive taste derived from the gel within the flower of a succulent that grew in a small equatorial desert on Kaminar. (DIS: "All Is Possible", "...But to Connect")

In 3190, President T'Rina of Ni'Var had traditional Kelpien tea served to Saru during a diplomatic conference, as she thought he would "enjoy a taste of home".
