The Kelvas system was a major planetary system located inside Cardassian space in a sector of the Alpha Quadrant. It was a trinary star system consisting of three stars and having at least two planets, Kelvas Prime and Kelvas V, that were inhabited by the Cardassians. The system was home to the Kelvas facility. The system was affiliated with the Cardassian Union. (DS9: "Tacking Into the Wind", "The Dogs of War")
According to Star Trek: Star Charts (p. 46) and Stellar Cartography: The Starfleet Reference Library ("Federation Historical Highlights, 2161-2385"), this system was located in the Alpha Quadrant. This was a trinary system with a pair of K-class stars and a M-class star. According to a map of the Cardassian Union – prepared by an anonymous astrography clerk, from the Cardassian Central Archives, in 2364 – Kelvas was identified as a Cardassian system.
