The Kelvas system was a major planetary system in the Cardassian Union. There were at least two planets, Kelvas Prime and Kelvas V, that were inhabited by the Cardassians. The Kelvas repair facility was located on Kelvas V. (DS9: "Tacking Into the Wind", "The Dogs of War")
According to Star Trek: Star Charts (p. 46) and Stellar Cartography: The Starfleet Reference Library ("Federation Historical Highlights, 2161-2385"), this system was located in the Alpha Quadrant. This was a trinary system with a pair of K-class stars and a M-class star. According to a map of the Cardassian Union – prepared by an anonymous astrography clerk, from the Cardassian Central Archives, in 2364 – Kelvas was identified as a Cardassian system.
