Ken Schafer was a writer who co-wrote the story for the Star Trek: The Next Generation fourth season episode "The Mind's Eye" with René Echevarria in 1991. It was his only writing contribution to Star Trek.
In 1988, Schafer was a production assistant on the TV movie Stranger on My Land, which included Star Trek guest stars Terry O'Quinn, Ned Romero and James Lashly in its cast.
