Kerner Hauze

Kerner Hauze was a male Zibalian, and a prominent collector of rare and valuable items. He was a member of the Collectors Guild, and lived alone with his collection on a largely automated personal starship.

Hauze passed away in 2381, and, as per Guild rules, his collection was to be auctioned off. Guild Chairman Siggi requested assistance from the Federation to catalog and dispose of any dangerous items in Hauze's collection; one which Siggi claimed to pale in comparison to his own collection. The USS Cerritos dispatched an away team to Hauze's ship under the command of Lieutenant jg Kayshon for the task, though their lives were endangered when Siggi's taking of Kahless' fornication helmet triggered automated defenses left behind by Hauze to prevent theft even after his death. Siggi was killed when the skeleton of Spock Two fell on him, but the away team managed to escape Hauze's ship in escape pods.

Commander Jack Ransom asked Captain Carol Freeman if Hauze had been "the one who tried to collect Data," apparently mistaking him for fellow Zibalian collector Kivas Fajo. Freeman, annoyed at the collectors, replied, "they all tried to collect Data." (LD: "Kayshon, His Eyes Open")
