Kevin McDermott is the actor who portrayed the Alien Batter in the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine first season episode "Emissary".

McDermott has also guest starred in the television series Fame (1986, with Eric Pierpoint, Dick Miller and Michelle Rudy, directed by Reza Badiyi and produced by Ira Steven Behr), Hill Street Blues (1986, with Earl Boen), Cheers (1990, with Kirstie Alley and Kelsey Grammer), Quantum Leap (1993, with Scott Bakula, Dean Stockwell, Stephen McHattie, Bruce McGill, Richard Herd, Mike Genovese, Susan Diol and Dan Butler), Sisters (1994, with Jeffrey Combs, Matthew Faison and Ashley Judd), ER (1997, with "Emissary" co-star Lily Mariye), and The Huntress (2001).
