The Kikuyu were a group of Humans from Kenya in the Earth continent of Africa.
In 2259, Captain Christopher Pike quoted a Kikuyu proverb to the Kiley leader while trying to convince her to discuss peace with her enemies: "when elephants fight, it's the grass that suffers." He added that the Kikuyu taught them that lesson every day on Earth. The Kiley leader was unimpressed, remarking that a proverb was less useful than "a big stick". (SNW: "Strange New Worlds")
