"May I ask the purpose of your journey?"
In 2370, Koral had acquired the second piece of a Vulcan artifact (the Stone of Gol) and had arranged to rendezvous with Arctus Baran in the Hyralan sector. Despite being free to travel there, his shuttle was detained by the USS Enterprise-D for "health and safety inspections." While Beverly Crusher and Worf inspected Koral's ship, he was taken to the observation lounge with Deanna Troi and Data. Koral didn't engage them in conversation, and even declined an offer of bloodwine by pouring it out, making them uncomfortable. Just then, Jean-Luc Picard and William T. Riker, acting under the employ of Baran, beamed in to the room. Picard took the artifact from Koral and left. (TNG: "Gambit, Part II")
