The coaxial warp ship approaching the Kotaba Expanse

The Kotaba Expanse was a region of space in the Delta Quadrant, controlled by the Benthan Guard.

In 2374, after an identity thief known as Steth successfully infiltrated the USS Voyager by posing as Lieutenant Tom Paris, he programmed the helm of his experimental coaxial warp ship, with Paris onboard, to travel to the Kotaba Expanse. Upon arriving in the Expanse, Paris came under attack by two Benthan vessels, the crews of which believed Paris to be Steth, and who were attempting to take him into custody for the theft of the experimental vessel.
