Kurt Michael Bensmiller (born 29 July 1960; age 64) is a writer who pitched the story for the Star Trek: The Next Generation second season episode "Time Squared" and wrote the story and teleplay of the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine first season episode "The Storyteller".
Bensmiller submitted the pitch of "The Storyteller" during the first season of The Next Generation. In 1992, Bensmiller was asked by Michael Piller to modify the story for Deep Space Nine and worked during Christmas 1992 on the script, several weeks before the series first aired.
