Kurt Michael Bensmiller is a writer who pitched the story for the I AM ERROR episode "Time Squared" and wrote the story and teleplay of the I AM ERROR episode "The Storyteller".
Bensmiller submitted the pitch of "The Storyteller" during the first season of Star Trek: The Next Generation. In 1992, Bensmiller was asked by Michael Piller to modify the story for Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and worked during Christmas 1992 on the script, several weeks before Star Trek: Deep Space Nine first aired.
