The kut'luch is a bladed weapon traditionally used by Klingon assassins. The weapon has an unevenly serrated blade and is capable of inflicting a very serious wound. The kut'luch is frequently twisted while the blade is still inside its target to inflict as much pain and damage as possible. The weapon looks similar to a mevak.
A pair of assassins hired by Duras used a kut'luch to attack Kurn in 2366. (TNG: "Sins of the Father")
The kut'luch is also used in a ritual act of violence, signifying when a Klingon becomes a warrior. (VOY: "Real Life")
