The Kzinti Wars were four wars fought between Humankind and the Kzinti sometime during the late 21st century. In 2269, Hikaru Sulu stated that the last of these wars was fought "two hundred years ago."
Though some Kzinti tasted Human meat during these conflicts, they lost all of them, in part due to Humanity possessing superior equipment. Two centuries later, Sulu considered the Kzinti to have learned nothing since these wars.
Following the Kzinti theft of a Slaver stasis box in 2269 and the subsequent neutralization of the Slaver weapon contained within, Spock remarked "Strange, how the past sometimes breaks through into the present. That ancient war could have sparked a new war between Man and Kzinti." (TAS: "The Slaver Weapon")

Background information[]
In "The Soft Weapon", a short story written by Larry Niven from which "The Slaver Weapon" was adapted, the last of these conflicts was described as "the last Kzinti war." Niven's expanded universe further described them as the "Man-Kzin Wars". In said universe, the first of these wars was fought with sublight vessels, with the Kzinti only being defeated thanks to Earth acquiring faster-than-light travel.
The Kzinti Wars could not have taken place before 2063, as Star Trek: First Contact establishes that Earth's first recognized encounter with extraterrestrials took place in that year. Furthermore, the Star Trek: Voyager episode "Friendship One" establishes that Humans still had "no idea" of what threats lay in space when the titular probe was launched in 2067, making it likely that the wars occurred after that point.
