The Laikan Military Academy was an educational institute located on Andoria. This academy trained cadets for service in the Andorian military and provided extension courses through its Department of Foreign Studies to Starfleet officers.
In the first half of the 23rd century, Philippa Georgiou, when she was at Starfleet Command on Sol III, earned a diploma for Advanced Interstellar Combat from the Laikan Military Academy. In 2256, this diploma was displayed with her medals in the USS Shenzhou ready room. It bore the signatures of both the president of the academy and a vice admiral. (DIS: "The Vulcan Hello")
This diploma was first seen in the Twitter account of Ted Sullivan. [1] The signatures of the president and the vice admiral are in Andorian language script.
In non-canonical sources, Laikan (β) was the capital city of Andoria.
