A laser micrometer
A laser micrometer was a specialized instrument used for non-contact measurement and control in use aboard NX-class starships.
In August 2151, Commander Tucker used a laser micrometer during repairs he made to a piece of technology from the warp drive of the ECS Fortunate. (ENT: "Fortunate Son")
The laser micrometer was identified by the call sheet of the episode. The day of filming, Monday 24 September 2001, listed a "laser micrometer" in scene 20 in the props requirement section.
In 2152, a member of Malcolm Reed's security team borrowed Trip Tucker's laser micrometer and took it to the armory. Tucker later asked Reed to return it. (ENT: "Singularity")
