Laughing hour was a custom at the Parallax colony on Shiralea VI. In this custom, a group would meet and laugh for an hour. Alexander Rozhenko became familiar with the laughing hour in a holographic simulation of the colony and practiced laughing hour when his father was attempting to get him to eat his meal.
