Lisabeth Hush (3 November 1934 – 19 February 2021; age 86) was an actress who voiced the Companion in the Star Trek: The Original Series second season episode "Metamorphosis".
The role, for which she was personally chosen by director Ralph Senensky, was originally recorded by Elizabeth Rogers, but was re-recorded by Hush, who received no credit for her work. [1]
Hush was married to former TOS guest star Sam Gilman.
Hush appeared in about forty television episodes and a small numer of films between 1960 and 1973. Among others, she can be seen in episodes of Sea Hunt, Route 66, The Alfred Hitchcock Hour (with Dean Stockwell, Susan Oliver, and Bert Remsen), Bonanza (with DeForest Kelley and John Hoyt), Ben Casey (with Harry Landers), Gene Roddenberry's The Lieutenant (starring Gary Lockwood, with Kenneth Tobey), Dr. Kildare (in an episode written by Gene Roddenberry and another one guest starring Jud Taylor), The F.B.I. (starring Stephen Brooks, with Bill Irwin and Garrison True, directed by Ralph Senensky), Mission: Impossible (starring Leonard Nimoy, with Anthony Zerbe, Steve Ihnat, Victor Paul, Nick Borgani, Al Cavens, Frank da Vinci, Monty O'Grady, the voice of Robert C. Johnson, and directed by Reza Badiyi), Dan August (starring Ned Romero), Night Gallery (with Jason Wingreen), and Ironside (with Gene Lyons, Ed Lauter, and Ken Lynch).
Her feature film credits include Bus Riley's Back in Town (1965, with Kim Darby, Nan Martin, Parley Baer, and James Doohan, directed by Harvey Hart), Thoroughly Modern Millie (1967, with Shep Houghton and Joseph Mell), and The Stone Killer (1973, with Alfred Ryder and Byron Morrow).
