A love philtre was a magic potion used by the Megans to attract lovers.

Since all the women of Megas-Tu were as young and beautiful as they wanted to be, they needed an edge to ensnare the man they desired, and sought these potions to accomplish that. (TAS: "The Magicks of Megas-Tu")
