The Lutani system was a planetary system containing at least two inhabited worlds, the sister planets of Kasar and Lutani VII.

During the mid-23rd century, the inhabitants of Kasar attempted to claim the entire system and its resources by force. Starfleet agreed to provide aid to the Lutani, who had suffered disproportionate casualties in the war. (SNW: "What Is Starfleet?")
