M. Keith Booker (born 21 May 1953; age 72) is the author of Star Trek: A Cultural History.

A professor in the department of English at the University of Arkansas, he began his career in science and engineering before turning to literature, cultural history, and academia. He is the author, co-author, or editor of dozens of books in the areas of science-fiction, film & television, comics & graphic novels, and literary theory including The Science Fiction Handbook (with Anne-Marie Thomas), The Encyclopedia of Comic Books and Graphic Novels, The Historical Dictionary of Science Fiction Cinema, and Mad Men: A Cultural History.
