Marani was one of Intendant Kira's servants in the 2370s in the mirror universe. She apparently gave "the most exquisite massages".

In 2372, the Intendant asked Benjamin Sisko if he could arrange for Marani to give her a massage in her holding cell. (DS9: "Shattered Mirror")

This character was only mentioned in dialogue.

Marani appears in the two Dark Passions novels, which were prequels to the DS9 mirror universe episodes.
