Marc Scott Zicree (born 25 August 1955; age 69) wrote the story of the popular Star Trek: Deep Space Nine sixth season episode "Far Beyond the Stars". He had earlier written the story for the Star Trek: The Next Generation fourth season episode "First Contact".
He also wrote and directed the Star Trek: New Voyages episode "World Enough and Time" (2007), which features Trek performers James Cawley, Jeffery Quinn, George Takei, Grace Lee Whitney, Majel Barrett Roddenberry, and John Carrigan. His book The Twilight Zone Companion is the encyclopedia for Twilight Zone fans.
Zicree has worked on several other popular science fiction television shows and cartoons. His credits include He-Man and the Masters of the Universe (featuring the voice of Alan Oppenheimer), The Real Ghostbusters, Beauty and the Beast, Swamp Thing, Babylon 5, Space Precinct, Sliders (starring Jerry O'Connell), and William Shatner's Tekwar.
In 2020, Zicree worked as writer, producer and director on the science fiction drama series Space Command, which featured Trek veterans Robert Picardo, Armin Shimerman, Bill Mumy, Faran Tahir, and Doug Jones.
