Margaret Armen (9 September 1921 – 10 November 2003; age 82) was an episodic television writer worked on three episodes of Star Trek: The Original Series and two episodes of Star Trek: The Animated Series. For the aborted Star Trek: Phase II, she wrote "The Savage Syndrome" (with Alfred Harris).
Armen was producer Fred Freiberger's potential choice to succeed Arthur Singer as Star Trek: The Original Series's story editor, however, as the show was cancelled after the third season, she never got the job.
Armen began her career writing for TV westerns, including The Rifleman and The Big Valley. She later worked on such shows as Marcus Welby, M.D., Barnaby Jones, and Wonder Woman.
She also wrote The Mod Squad episode "A Time of Hyacinths" (1970) in which Warren Stevens had a guest appearance alongside series regular Tige Andrews.
Margaret Armen passed away due to heart failure in her home in Woodland Hills, California on 10 November 2003 at the age of 82.
