According to the Star Trek Encyclopedia, 4th ed., vol. 1, p. 172, the birth and death years of physicist Marie Curie were 1867 and 1934, respectively. The other co-discoverer of radiation was her husband Pierre Curie. (The Star Trek Encyclopedia stated that together they discovered radium and polonium, which were sources of radiation.) She earned two Nobel Prizes for her study of radioactivity.
