Real world article
(written from a production point of view)
Marie Severin (21 August 1929 – 30 August 2018; age 89) was a comic book artist. She colored the first Star Trek publication by Marvel Comics, Super Special #15, the comic adaptation of Star Trek: The Motion Picture. This was later reprinted as the first three issues in their first Star Trek series. As previous series for Gold Key Comics never credited color guide artists, Marie is the first ever artist to receive on-page credit for coloring a comic issue of a Star Trek series.
She also did some inking on one of the other issues of the comic, credited as part of the Diverse Hands group at Marvel.
