Marie Ward (born 25 February) is an actress who played the junior guard in the Star Trek: Discovery first season episode "Vaulting Ambition".
Ward started her career as dancer and appeared as such in Madonna: Innocence Lost (1994, with Wendie Malick and Dean Stockwell) and Janek: The Silent Betrayal (1994, with William Shatner, Jude Ciccolella, and Claire Rankin, directed by Robert Iscove), and Blues Brothers 2000 (1998, starring Joe Morton). She played a choreographer in Honey (2003).
She subsequently ventured into acting and has appeared in supporting roles on films and television since the mid-1990s. Her credits include episodes of series such as Due South (starring Daniel Kash, with Shay Duffin), Monk, Mutant X, Missing, The Dresden Files (with Daniel Kash, written by Robert Hewitt Wolfe and Hans Beimler), Suits, Lost Girl, Reign (starring Adelaide Kane, with Robert Verlaque), Ransom (with Nazneen Contractor and Andrew Moodie), Murdoch Mysteries (with Clare McConnell), and Coroner (starring Roger Cross, with Shawn Ahmed and Robert Verlaque).
She also appeared in films such as The Dogfather (2010, with Tony Nappo), Zombies (2018), Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark (2019, with Javier Botet, Stephanie Belding, and Alex Spencer, written by Kevin and Dan Hageman), Zombies 2 (2020), and The Marijuana Conspiracy (2020, with Morgan Kohan and Derek McGrath).
Ward also appeared in several TV movies, which include Guilt by Association (2002, with Conrad Coates), America's Prince: The John F. Kennedy Jr. Story (2003, with Karen Robinson and Katherine Trowell), Savage Planet (2007), Teddy Bear (2008), and The Good Witch's Gift (2010).
