Mario Scout West (born 28 February 1974; age 51) is a production assistant on Star Trek. He is also known by his alter ego, Scout Donavan, entertainment reporter and manager of "Groovy Kids Productions."

Born in the Midwest and raised in New York, New York, West's early production management credits include To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar (1995, starring Wesley Snipes), and The Associate (1996, starring Whoopi Goldberg, with Bebe Neuwirth). In 1997 he graduated from New York's Columbia University with a Bachelor's Associates in Marketing.

West was also a production worker on such films as Gattaca (1997), Miss Congeniality (2000, starring William Shatner), and All the Pretty Horses (2000). His television credits include episodes of Law & Order and Oz, as well as the 2002 movie The Big Time, featuring John de Lancie, Christopher Lloyd and Michael Buchman Silver.

West has formed The Dantis Group, a media company that is producing television and management of other artists. A feature length documentary is also in development.
