Doctor Martin was a Starfleet medical officer serving on the Federation starship Enterprise-D.
In 2368, CMO Beverly Crusher was incapacitated by a telepathic violation, and Dr. Martin was made the primary physician on her case, as well as Cmdr. Riker, who was also violated. (TNG:"Violations")
